In schools is where I see a lot of these units being used in the real world. They have usually been in place for 20 plus years if not 30. It amazing to see one product work so well in the world. So many different devices are great in appearance, but when it comes to lasting in the world, they sometimes don’t always follow through. An example of this some of you might relate to is an American car. Some people will not agree, but I’m sure a lot will. If you have had an American car before and a Japanese car then you will know the difference. If you are like me, then you will agree that the Japanese car is a lot more reliable. I have not had a lot of issues with the Japanese cars like the American ones. I have had to do a lot more work to the American cars that I have other than the Japanese cars. They just last a lot longer!
The Meridian Phone System is just like a Japanese car. It will last forever. All the schools that I have been to do work on these units will all agree that they have been well worth their money that you will have paid for them. If you consider the amount of money you have to pay for one of these, usually you will want something that will last. For a school, they might pay somewhere between 50 and 100,000 for one system. When you are spending that kind of money, you want to know you are buying something that will last for a long time.
The systems can be set up to accommodate anyone’s needs. I have programmed phones to ring only on certain lines for certain people. Certain lines only ring to the office. Certain lines only ring to certain people. Programming one of these systems is always fun, you get to see just how far we have come over the years. Most people just want basic things like some phones to ring and some phones not to. Some want the phone to ring to 10 people, and then if no one picks up then it rings to someone else. There are unlimited ways that you can program these systems.
If someone is taking a trip to china, then I can program their phone to ring to their cell phone in China, just as long as the phone has service in china. If someone wants the voicemail messages set up to forward to their email, so they can read it, I can do that. If someone wants the voicemail message texted to them, I can do that. There are unlimited ways you can do whatever you want.
